The £33-million Rugby College has specialist facilities for engineering, construction, hair and beauty and performing arts.

Power Industry Academy

A £6.2m development funded by Advantage West Midlands, the facility trains students to work in the exciting and expanding fields of alternative energy generation and supply.

Rugby Borough Council provided capital investment in the new facilities. In exchange, Rugby College provides certain facilities at the college for community use. This has proved very successful and community groups are encouraged to take advantage of the superb facilities on offer.


Community facilities

As well as courses, additional facilities are available for students and the local community:

  • Full-sized astroturf pitch for hockey and football
  • Sports hall for badminton (four-court), football, volleyball, basketball, hockey, netball and games
  • Gym with cardio, resistance machines and free weights
  • Nursery facility rated 'good' by Ofsted catering for 54 children aged eight weeks to five years
  • Venues for conferences, meetings, seminars, wedding, fairs, product launches
  • Banqueting for up to 150 and conferencing for up to 200
  • Coffee shop and refectory
  • Two hairdressing salons and two beauty salons offering a full range of treatments.
