Heart of England Mencap

Heart of England Mencap.  We are a dynamic local charity that supports adults living with learning disabilities, and their parents and carers and have been working at the heart of our community for over 40 years.   The services and support we provide empowers and enables the people we look after to lead fulfilling lives.

Built on trust, compassion and inclusivity, our vision is to create a community where difference is embraced, independence is encouraged and every individual is valued for who they are.   These are our values and here at Heart of England Mencap we are dedicated to providing the best possible care and support for our customers, their families and carers.

As a person centred organisation we always ask our customers what they would like to do; we focus on an individual’s abilities, rather than their disabilities.

We aim to build independence, improve health and wellbeing and enable our customers to have fulfilling life experiences through the range of services we provide.

We are an independent charity registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and affiliated to the Royal Mencap Society.  This affiliation means we have access to a vast range of resources and information and we are able to draw from the knowledge and experience of over 400 other local Mencap branches.
