Taking Care Scheme - Warwickshire

Training for schools and practitioners working with children the Taking Care scheme aims to improve the safety and well being of children in Warwickshire by teaching them to keep themselves safer in a variety of situations.

Working with children in primary schools in partnership with teachers, support staff and parents.  Protective Behaviour Training courses help us learn about empowerment, communication, self esteem and other life skills so we can prevent abuse, reduce violence and promote life enhancing, rather than life depleting, experiences.

It is also useful for conflict resolution, counselling, empowering people, crisis intervention, parenting skills, abuse prevention, crime prevention, sex education, drug education, staff management and importantly for having fun and adventures.

Service Access


The schools service is available to Primary schools in Warwickshire.
Protective Behaviours courses are for professionals working with children,young people and parents.


Free for employees of statutory and voluntary organisations working with Warwickshire children. £150 for persons working in the private sector and out of county.
