Terms and Conditions of Use for Site Users

Welcome to Warwickshire’s Directory of Services for the Community (the “Site”). The Site is operated by Warwickshire County Council. Our contact details can be found here.

If you continue to browse and use this Site, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms of use (the “Terms”), which govern our relationship with users of this Site (“you” or “Site User”). If you disagree with any part of these Terms then please do not use the Site.

Additional terms of use apply to service/event providers when they add content to the Site. These additional terms of use are available here.

The Purpose of the Site

The Site is a venue for local organisations, groups and agencies (known as “Service Providers”) to promote a range of activities, events, information, advice and services to support residents of Warwickshire using this Site.

We provide tools which enable Service Providers to provide useful information on their services and/or events to you but we are not involved in any agreement between you and the Service Provider.

As a result, Service Providers are responsible for:-

  • the quality, safety and legality of the services/events they provide; and
  • the truth and accuracy of their information.

You as a Site User are responsible for:-

  • Checking the accuracy of the information before use or reliance on the information.

Please note that Warwickshire County Council does not vet Service Providers or the information provided on this Site (including events). In particular, parents and carers should ensure that they are satisfied with the safeguards offered by the organiser of an event before children attend. If you have any questions or concerns about a listing, please contact directory@warwickshire.gov.uk.

Flagged Services

There are various schemes which Service Providers can apply to join which give you some reassurances in respect of the standard of services you can expect to receive. Some of the schemes included are (but not limited to);

  • Buy with Confidence Scheme
  • Safe Places Scheme
  • Dementia Friendly Services
  • SEND Local Offer
  • WCC Contracted providers

Links to further information about some of the schemes and what they mean can be found on the Warwickshire County Council website.

Where a Service Provider has been approved or is a member of a particular scheme, a “flag” with the logo of the relevant scheme they are a member of/approved by will appear next to their name when they appear in a list of search results. In addition, a “flag” will indicate when a Service Provider has a contract for services with Warwickshire County Council. Whilst we will do our best to keep this information up to date we cannot guarantee that the information provided is accurate at a given point in time.

Please note that the Council does not recommend any particular Service Providers and is not responsible for the quality, safety and legality of the services provided any Service Provider. You as a Site User remain responsible for undertaking any necessary checks prior to contacting or engaging a Service Provider.
